What is the difference between Foamcore and Gator Board?


Foamcore is a softer board that is great for single use presentations and trial exhibits, but can warp over a period of time. Gator Board is more rigid and much stronger and designed for long term use.

 

What is Sintra board?


Sintra is a very rigid, but flexible PVC board for use with trade show exhibits and permanent displays.  Comes in a variety of thicknesses, the most common being 1/8" or 1/4".

 

What is the size of the laminate that The IDM Group uses?


We can laminate prints up to 60" wide by virtually any length.

 

What is the largest size print that can be mounted in one piece?


We can usually mount originals up to 48" x 96", larger sizes are available up to 60" x 120".

 

Can The IDM Group produce magnetic boards?


Yes. We have a thin metal paper that we can mount to magnets to transform your original into a magnetic board.

 

Does The IDM Group provide framing services?


We can provide perimeter trim that is a plastic frame that will give your presentation a professional appearance while protecting the edges of the print and mounting board. This trim is available in black, white, silver or gold in ¼" thickness.

 

What is cold laminate?


This is a very high quality laminate with an adhesive that is applied with pressure instead of with heat.

 

What is lexan?


Also referred to in the industry as "textured laminate", this substrate is scratch resistant, extremely durable, and excellent for use with trade show exhibits.

 

Does The IDM Group provide UV resistant laminate?


Yes. We carry a variety of UV resistant substrates in matte gloss and lustre finishes.

 

Can The IDM Group laminate a print that is mounted to a board?


We can laminate any smooth surface up to 1" thick as a single sided laminate.
